While Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com) made her way along the Gullah/Geechee Save the Sea Islands World Tour in order to stand with other global leaders to insure that cultural heritage is not drowned out in the discussions of climate change, she was also contacted by numerous media sources including Pacifica Radio, Yale, and NPR. CityLab quoted her in this article about what those in the Gullah/Geechee Nation faced due to hurricanes and keeping their homeland:
